Guerre en Iran et corridor TRIPP : quand la géopolitique fait grimper les prix du fioul en France rurale

The business of peace is shifting from diplomacy to hard investment as the United States pushes forward with the TRIPP corridor, formally known as the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity. Following the 2025 Armenia-Azerbaijan peace framework, the project has secured an initial financial infusion and a dominant American stake of around 75 percent in the development company. The corridor, running through Armenian territory, is designed to link the South Caucasus more tightly with Turkey and the Trans-Caspian routes, turning a geopolitical agreement into a functioning trade artery with commercial potential measured in billions.

At the same time, far from the Caucasus, rural France is absorbing the economic shock of the war in Iran. In the Oise department, soaring prices for heating oil and diesel are hitting small businesses hard. Nearly 21 million people, almost a third of the French population, live in the countryside that covers 90 percent of the country’s land. In the town of Saint-Just-en-Chaussée, baker Kevin Luce still fires his two ovens with heating oil. What was once a cost-effective choice has become a heavy burden: his latest delivery of 1,200 litres cost 2,200 euros, whereas six months earlier he paid 2,100 euros for 2,000 litres. The difference is absorbed entirely by the business, reducing the money available for wages, staff raises and any future investment.
